New adjunct professor Peter Tugwell
Professor Peter Tugwell is now adjunct professor in “Global Clinical Epidemiology” at the Research Unit of Rheumatology, Department of Clinical Research, University of Southern Denmark, Odense University Hospital, Denmark
Peter Tugwell was Founding Director of the International Clinical Epidemiology Network Training Centre at McMaster University and currently serves as Secretary General to INCLEN's North American group (CanUSAClen).
Peter Tugwell is Co-Director of a WHO Collaborating Centre for Knowledge Translation & Health Technology Assessment in Equity. Peter Tugwell is Senior Editor for 8 Cochrane Review Groups, was founding Coordinating Editor of the Cochrane Musculoskeletal Review Group and Founding Co-convenor of the Cochrane Health Equity Field/Campbell Equity Methods Group. He is Co- Chair of the Campbell Collaboration International Development Coordinating Group.
In 2002 he was appointed the Co-Editor-In Chief for the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology.
In 2013, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada appointed Dr Tugwell to the rank of Officer of the Order of Canada, the second-highest ranking conferred by Canada. The Officer appointment recognizes a lifetime of achievement and merit of a high degree, especially in service to Canada or to humanity at large. Peter Tugwell was recognized for his contributions as an epidemiologist reducing global disparities in health care access.
Dr. Tugwell's publication record includes over 600 journal articles, monographs, and book chapters.
