You can inquire about old documents and records at the Danish National Archives. The Danish National Archive has reading rooms in Copenhagen, Odense, Aabenraa and Viborg. You can order materials via The Danish National Archives’ system when you have registered as a user.
- In the Library Catalogue you can find printed archive registries. Search by subject and use the signature: Ac-3. The most ordinary registries are placed in the Library’s history section - the rest of our registries are stored in our storage facilities.
If you are seeking an update on the different archives, you can also look at these titles in Danish:
- Rigsarkivet og hjælpemidlerne til dets benyttelse. (1983-91), 6 bind. [Historiebiblioteket: Ac-daz København.02].
- Kilder til dansk forvaltningshistorie. (1998-2008). 5 bind. [Historiebiblioteket: Ac-da.02].
Handbooks and literature about archives outside of Denmark can also be searched in the Library’s Catalogue.
