CIMT performs research and innovation within the field of innovative medical technology, e.g. telemedicine, apps, sensors, video consultations, drones etc.

Centre for Innovative Medical Technology (CIMT) is a research and innovation centre, where extensive research in health technology is carried out. The research areas include such things as the measurement of clinical effects of telemedicine and new technology as well as economic evaluations of these, multidisciplinary evaluation of telemedicine, research into user and patient experiences, participatory design, best practice in regards to the implementation of new technology, organisational studies and methods for evaluation of cross-sectoral use of technological solutions.

CIMT works a great deal with telemedicine such as apps, Virtual Reality, video consultations and other telemedicine solutions that can help advance the healthcare system, strengthen its employees and their digital skills, and improve patients’ experiences.

The centre's associated researchers come from many different fields, and PhD students affiliated with CIMT are everything from doctors and nurses to engineers and economists.
