On Friday 20 November, we visited Easy Robotics where CEO and Co-owner Per Lachenmeier first gave us a tour in the assembly hall and later a presentation of the company and its product portfolio. In the picture, Per explains the features of ProFeeder - a movable robotic cell designed to have a single cobot do all tasks in the process, e.g. opening drawers, picking the right objects, placing them in the machining tool, and back again after the machining. The simplicity of the cell and its intuitive programming means that it can be implemented and put in operation within a single workday.
During the two-hour visit, we had a chance to learn about the market and megatrends for robotic cells used in automated production, and we discussed with Per how students, researchers, and educators from CIM can assist Easy Robotics in the future.
