SDU CREATE is a Centre for Computational Research in Emergent Architectural Technology and Engineering. SDU CREATE explores novel architectural ideas and processes at the intersection with the fields of computer science, advanced manufacturing and emergent material technologies. Within the high-tech context of SDU, the group undertakes research and teaching activities in the fields of Industry 4.0, Additive Manufacturing (AM), Architectural Robotics, Virtual and Augmented Reality. We develop interdisciplinary research and projects with a team of highly skilled design researchers, and a network of academic and industrial collaborators. In its physical infrastructure, the CREATE Lab, are studied future scenarios of constructions with a project-driven integrative research approach: from disruptive concepts to applied research, bringing together design and making through progress in technology.
Internship and Research Focus
The topic of the internship will be tailored based on the applicant’s qualifications and interest, in support of SDU CREATE research activities in the areas of:
- Architectural Robotics
- Additive Manufacturing
- Concrete 3D Printing
- Computational Design
- Advanced Architectural Geometry
- Robotic Timber Construction
- FDM Printing (direct/indirect)
- Mixed Reality Design and Fabrication
