Support biodiversity at SDU Campus Odense on Wednesday 16th of March between 12.00 and 15.00
The area between SDU West, Forskerparken, and the new OUH is transforming from agricultural area into a recreative nature area. Climate lakes has been dug on former fields and leftover soil from building has created variation in the landscape. This has already made way for new possibilities to flora and fauna – and with this planting afternoon, we can all help nature even more!
We are going to plant native species in and by the lakes and by the areas around the lakes. Besides contributing to a better biodiversity in the area, the plants will create oases for employees and students to enjoy in the future.
Take a sustainable and active break from your work or studies. It will support the environment and improve your health and well-being.
The event is for everyone!
Join us at the info pavilion (see the green A mark on this map):
You will be handed plants, a shovel, and further information. Employees and students from Department of Biology are onsite to help and to answer any question you might have.
Dress according to the weather and put on your practical footwear.
You decide how long and how much you want to plant. Every plant is a step in the right direction.
We are looking forward to seeing you!
