The Department of Clinical Immunology has received DDK 14 million to establish the Elite Research Center CITCO
The Department of Clinical Immunology has received 14 million danish kroner to establish the Elite Research Center CITCO.
CITCO - Center for Cellular Immunotherapy of Haematological Cancer Odense - is a new Elite Research Center at Odense University and the Department of Clinical Research at the University of Southern Denmark. The Department of Clinical Immunology will in collaboration with the Department of Haematology develop new treatments in chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell immunotherapy. The goal is to treat patients with incurable cancer in the bone marrow, lymph nodes and blood.
An international assessment aanel has chosen CITCO to be the best applicant among all the applicants and is now the 6th Elite Research Center at Odense University Hospital.
