Students enrolled under the 5+3 programme must submit their PhD thesis no later than three years after enrolment begins and students under the 4+4 programme no later than four years after enrolment begins. A PhD student’s enrollment at the university expires on the date when the thesis is submitted. The handing in of the thesis marks the end of a project that has filled much of the student's everyday life. The day of the submission is should be a festive day. It is therefore important that students have familiarized themselves with the practical conditions that must be met in order for the thesis to be accepted by the Faculty for assessment. It is also recommended that the students know the rules and regulations governing the evaluation and award of PhD degree.
