Completion of the Programme

The PhD study programme is completed by the submission, assessment and defence of your PhD thesis. Your thesis must document your ability to apply the subject’s scientific methods and perform research that corresponds to the international standards for PhD degrees within the subject area in question, cf. Section 11 of the Ministerial Order on PhD programmes.

Special rules apply to PhD students under the Industrial PhD programme in relation to submitting PhD theses and to procedures for appointing an assessment committee, etc. For more information, please read the Guidance to the Industrial PhD Programme (Vejledning til ErhvervsPhD-ordningen) on the website of Innovation Fund Denmark.

If you are writing an article based Thesis, there are different guidelines you need to follow depending on the PhD programme you are enrolled at.
