Opening of POLIMA
1 June, the new Center of Excellence POLIMA - Center for Polariton-driven light-matter Interactions officially opened
Danish National Research Foundation (DNRF) has granted N. Asger Mortensen and his research group a 6-year 60 mill. DKK grant to create a Center of Excellence focusing on Polariton-driven light-matter Interactions
On 1 June 2023, the grant and the opening of POLIMA were celebrated at University of Southern Denmark with a symposium and reception.
The symposium was opened by Jens Ringsmose (rector, University of Southern Denmark), Tine Brink Henriksen (board member, Danish National Research Foundation) and Henrik Bindslev (dean, The Faculty of Engineering, University of Southern Denmark). All three speakers emphasized how the foundation of a DNRF Centers of Excellence is researchers performing ambitious, original, and internationally recognized research combined with a a grant from DNRF that allows the centers a flexibility and freedom to create ground breaking results.
