Still more companies choose to get occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMS) certified after ISO 45001 (formerly OHSAS 18001). However, little is known about the actual effects of a certified OHSMS work procedure.
This project uses the database of certified companies in the Danish Working Environment Authority to link certificates with outcomes in the form of work-related accidents and diseases. The project results will help companies to decide whether to develop a certified OHSMS and what is needed to make a successful implementation.
The project is funded by the Working Environment Research Fund and carried out in collaboration the National Research Centre for the Working Environment and Team Working Life.
