This project aims to create a mobile robot crane platform that, whilst operating at heights of 15-20 meters will help automate production processes. The crane will allow for the production of offshore structures that are used in the energy industry (particularly windmills) to be made more precisely and accurately.
Beyond offshore structure production, this technology has the potential to be applied to other areas of the energy sector; from recycling and repair to scanning and surface treatment.
The project uses already-known components in a novel way to create a new product that surpasses any other established technologies in this area.
Digital Twin technology will be used to create fully digital workflows.
