Drone swarms

Illustration of a drone swarm's internal communication and synchronization

Drone swarms focus on the coordination and control of multiple drones working together. Research in this area is aimed at developing systems that allow drones to autonomously perform tasks in a coordinated manner, enhancing efficiency over individual drones.

A significant challenge is creating control mechanisms that enable human operators to effectively manage these swarms, ensuring that drones can be directed to achieve specific objectives.

This involves algorithms for flight coordination, task allocation, and interaction protocols between drones and human controllers. The goal is to improve the functionality and usability of drone swarms for practical applications, such as surveillance, search operations, or environmental monitoring.
