SDU UAS Center is developing a DroneID to be monitored on existing drones, and incorporated on future drones.
DroneID allows authorities to identify drones and monitor drone activities online. This will ensure that drones are authorized and operated in accordance with regulations.
SDU UAS Center has developed a DroneID prototype weighing 20g and performing well in tests. In addition, there are ongoing development and tests of UTM (UAS Traffic Management) for monitoring drone traffic.
Results of DroneID project will be released as permissive free open source.
Collaboration partners are SDU and Danish Transport and Construction Agency.
