SDU is looking for a new Chair of the Board
SDU has begun the process of finding a new Chair of the Board as of 1 January 2023 to replace Niels Thorborg, who will resign at the end of the year.
A job advertisement stating that SDU is seeking a new board chair has just been posted. At the end of the year, the term of office of the current Chairman, Niels Thorborg, expires. By then he will have been a member of the Board for two terms and is therefore ineligible for reappointment.
The new chair plays a crucial role in the continued development of SDU and is tasked with ensuring good cooperation within the Board, which consists of external members as well as staff and student representatives.
The SDU Nomination Body will – after the deadline for indicating candidacy – nominate at least two candidates to the SDU Appointment Body, which will appoint a candidate who will eventually be approved by the Minister of Higher Education and Science.
The process will run through autumn 2022, with the new chair starting on 1 January 2023.
