SAMF is refining its educational portfolio
There will still be a large range of programmes to choose from at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences in the future, even though we are discontinuing two programmes and refining the range of study tracks and profiles on the business economics programmes.
Students will still be able to study the BSc in Economics and Business Administration at all of SDU’s campuses and the English-language bachelor programme Market and Management Anthropology at SDU in Odense. And as before, they can specialise further by taking on one of the many master’s programmes offered by the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences.
The Faculty will discontinue a bachelor and a master’s programme in sociology and will abolish some narrow study tracks and profiles within the area of business economics. This is part of a focused effort to ensure strong and sustainable educational programmes and study environments and that the Faculty will continue to be able to offer many specialisation options in the profiles of the MSc in Economics and Business Administration.
The programmes and study tracks that are being discontinued have experienced a decline in the number of enrolled students in recent years, and the adjustment of the programmes is therefore about future-proofing the educational portfolio as a whole so that it matches the needs of society.
