Invitation to Kim Brøsen's farewell symposium
We celebrate Professor Kim Brøsen's career with a public symposium after more than 40 years as a clinical pharmacologist and more than 20 years as editor-in-chief of the journal Basic and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology.
Kim Brøsen should be celebrated because he has been a very significant figure in European clinical pharmacology. He is internationally recognized as an innovative and pioneering researcher in drug metabolism and pharmacogenetics.
Kim Brøsen has been a strong developer and engine for the development of specialist training in clinical pharmacology, and he has tirelessly pursued the implementation of clinical pharmacology as a medical specialty with his highly respected professional identity. Kim Brøsen has an elite level of publication quantity and quality and is deservedly one of the most cited researchers in clinical pharmacology in the world.
Kim Brøsen's research has always been characterized by a conscious and visible clinical approach in accordance with his position that clinical pharmacology as a medical specialty should strive to improve and support the medical treatment of patients.
He is also known for his strong strategic competencies and his ability to create and nurture national and international networks. Not least, he is known for his inspiration and support for young researchers, and Kim Brøsen is highly appreciated for his great professional and also his social generosity. He has always been the center of parties, both as host and participant, where he has contributed with his humor with entertainment and good stories. Therefore, it is quite natural to celebrate him with a public symposium.
