"First and foremost, it is certainly a great recognition," says 32-year-old Sara Peng, a product manager at COWI. She has made it to the list of 100 young, ambitious, and incredibly talented individuals chosen for Berlingske's Talent 100 list, celebrating talent across all Danish business and public service sectors.

Born and raised in China, she completed her bachelor's degree in Mechatronics and her master's in Engineering, Innovation and Business at SDU in Sønderborg.

"As a foreigner in Denmark, it warms my heart to be nominated and awarded such a title. It encourages me and makes me feel appreciated for contributing to society."

"Another great benefit for me has been the opportunity to meet other new and sharp minds with great ambitions and energy and to learn how they create changes and improvements in their fields every day. It has been inspiring," Sara Peng elaborates.

Expert in explaining complex ideas convincingly
In Berlingske, Vice President of COWI, Rasmus Kolding, praises her for conveying complex ideas convincingly, ensuring both internal and external partners understand their value.

"I am currently working to promote the growth and integration of innovation and digitalization within the company, where I constantly need to bridge the gap between tech and business areas. Knowledge and experience from both Mechatronics and Engineering, Innovation & Business gave me the right mindset and necessary tools for exactly that," says Sara Peng.

She looks back on her time as a student with great fondness.

"I loved the city of Sønderborg and SDU's small but beautiful campus. I was surrounded by international fellow students in a fantastic academic and social environment. We had easy and direct access to professors and resources due to the campus's modest size," says Sara Peng.

Congratulations to Sara Peng and the other 99 on the list!
