The Biomedical Laboratory offers surgical skills training to MDs from Odense University Hospital and regional hospitals. The courses can be part of a surgical specialization program or development of new surgical techniques. The training is performed on anesthetized pigs in one of our surgical theatres. Up to four stations can be used simultaneously. Basic instruments and two laparoscopic video towers are available. Instruction and assistance has to be arranged by the course organizer. Surgical skills courses are typically held as day courses over one or more days. Access to a seminar room is possible during the course.
