Center for Sustainable Business Development and Policy was established in 2021 and is embedded in the Department of Business and Sustainability at SDU. The center researches various business development themes in close collaboration with the actors within the business development system.
Our mission is to innovate business development in order to make future business development initiatives more effective and to contribute to solving societal problems and those of the individual company at the same time.
Business development must involve other bottom lines to a greater extent than simply the economic. Social, green and cultural bottom lines must ensure that business development is framed in a broader societal context and band of thought across policy areas than is currently the case.
We want better links between the business development system and the innovation development system, and that business development initiatives being increasingly based on the networks, clusters, consortia and ecosystems of which companies are a part.
Central to our work is the desire to create new business development alliances with the aim of developing, testing and implementing new business development tools. To succeed in this, we work in an interdisciplinary manner.
