SIG: Data Privacy and Data Utility
The SIG seeks to develop a methodological framework to establish consensus on privacy thresholds for synthetic data and models that generate synthetic data.
The SIG aims to explore approaches and methodologies that can balance data utility and privacy in fields requiring sensitive data handling such as healthcare.
The SIG aims, over time, to formulate a set of recommendations in collaboration with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies. These recommendations will be designed to provide actionable guidelines on privacy standards and the use of synthetic data and associated generative models.
