Danfoss donations to the Mads Clausen Institute
The Mads Clausen Institute has received several donations from different Danfoss foundations over a period of time. The donations favour different purposes at MCI and contribute to the acquisition of equipment supporting teaching as well as research.
The Danfoss Foundation for Education has donated DKK 61.300 for the development of 20 creative tool boxes with the overall purpose of supporting the creative courses for engineering students attending the study programme Innovation and Business.
Furthermore, the Mads Clausen Foundation has donated DKK 45.000 to embedded hardware equipment to support teaching and research primarily on the Mechatronics study programme at MCI. The equipment constitutes among other things Arduino microcontrollers as well as hardware and electronics for more research-oriented projects.
And last but not least, the Mads Clausen Foundation has allocated DKK 50.000 for a state-of-the-art evaporation source, which will be part of a so-called cluster deposition system employed for producing organic solar cells and light-emitting transistors. The evaporation source has already been purchased and is in operation at MCI, where it will contribute to increase the complexity and efficiency of the solar cells and light-emitting transistors.
