Professor and Honorary Doctor of SDU Karl Leo visits MCI when participating in a Ph.D. summer school in August.

Last year, the renowned physicist and researcher, Professor Karl Leo of the Technische Universität Dresden (Institut für Angewandte Photophysik) and Fraunhofer Institute in Dresden IPMS (Fraunhofer lnstitut für Photonische Microsysteme) was appointed honorary doctor at the University of Southern Denmark due to his outstanding research results and career. Now, he will visit the Mads Clausen Institute in connection with his participation in a Ph.D. summer school about organic electronic systems.

The Ph.D. summer school Stability, Reliability and Promises of Organic Systems is held for master and Ph.D.-students and takes place from August 18-22 2014. Generally, it deals with organic solar cells and organic electronics with focus on optimization of interfaces in units, unit stability and lifetime as well as industrial implementation. In addition to Karl Leo, who will be giving two presentations for the participants, there will be contributions from renowned researchers from the Max Planck Instituttet, University of Würzburg, University of Bath, University of Linz, Fraunhofer COMEDD, Syddansk Universitet, University of Graz University of Technology and several others.
