At our department, there are several opportunities to get a PhD.
Start your PhD journey with us
With research in areas such as entrepreneurship, business-to-business relationships, supply chain, resource and circular economy, marketing and consumer behavior, sports and events, digitization and artificial intelligence, and risk and resilience, our department offers a great environment for PhD studies.
Both Danish and foreign PhD students undergo a research education at the department and contribute to the university’s teaching and project work during the three-year period.
As a PhD student, you become part of a well-functioning, integrated, and multidisciplinary research environment. This means that you have the opportunity to collaborate with all the department’s researchers in addition to your main supervisor. You will also be enrolled in the PhD school at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences.
There are different opportunities to become a PhD student at our department:
- You can apply for an advertised position in SDU’s job bank, where the department regularly advertises PhD positions.
- You can be employed at the department with a project description that falls within a defined externally funded research project. The work is done in collaboration with a project group.
- You can combine research education and practical experience in an industrial PhD program, where you are both affiliated with the department and employed in a private or public company.
