Researchers at SDU Esbjerg participated in "Energiens Folkemøde" and raised the question: Are consumers willing to change their energy consumption to make better use of green energy? Read more and see pictures from the people's meeting here.

On September 18-19, the focus was once again on energy, climate, and the environment for the annual Energy People's Meeting in Esbjerg called "Energiens Folkemøde". The purpose of Energiens Folkemøde is to create a debate between citizens, companies, industries, politicians, professionals and other stakeholders about future development within the energy, climate, and environmental fields.

At SDU Esbjerg's stand, you could find out about how to help solve the challenges of the future by studying HA Energy management, and how the university works closely with companies in the energy sector.

Researchers at the Energy Management Research Center, which is a research center affiliated with the Department of Sociology, Environmental and Business Economics where also their, and they raised awareness about the energy consumption of consumers by asking the question:

Are consumers willing to change their energy consumption to make better use of green energy?

Green energy is unstable as it requires a lot of wind. Currently, the most realistic way to utilize green energy is to make consumers change their energy habits and thereby creating a more balanced energy consumption during the day.

But what is needed to change the energy habits of households so that green energy can be utilized in the best possible way, and what is the potential? These were, among other things, the questions that SDU's researchers are currently researching and were giving their answers to the People's Meeting. See pictures from the meeting  down below.
