The Danish Twin Registry is a unique and internationally acknowledged research register that provides a basis for developing new knowledge on health-related conditions and causes of disease.

The Danish Twin Registry was founded in 1953 and includes information on Danish twins born 1870-2009.

The purpose of the Danish Twin Research Center is to use data from the Danish Twin Registry to study the significance of genetic and environmental factors related to a wide range of health outcomes.
