The master programme Medical Microtechnology offers the summer school course Medical Devices and Imaging at the SDU International Summer School 2022.
Master in Medical Microtechnology
You can join the Medical Microtechnology summer school if you are studying in the third year of a relevant bachelor programme, and if you want to learn more about medical microtechnology and student life at SDU in general. The summer school is connected to the master programme Medical Microtechnology, which was established in cooperation between Technische Hochschule Lübeck, Universität zu Lübeck and University of Southern Denmark. The just recently accredited master programme provides the opportunity to gain knowledge within the areas of health, engineering and life sciences and combines the fields of medical technology and microtechnology. The master programme encompasses a tight contact to regional companies and hospitals who contribute to the development and design of study contents.
International Summer School 2022
This year's Medical Microtechnology summer school takes place in and around Sønderborg and is arranged by University of Southern Denmark. Students with an educational background in engineering or physics, and especially students with interest in medical microtechnology, can take part in the summer school course consisting of lectures and practical exercises worth 5 ECTS.

Advanced bachelor level, 5 ECTS
Combination of theoretical lectures and practical lab work within:
- Microfluidics (theory, simulations, design, realisation and testing of prototype)
- Imaging techniques (optical, non-optical, magnetic particle imaging)
- Medical devices (optical blood analysis)
Who can participate
All Danish and international full-time students, exchange students and free movers. SDU helps with accommodation and visa.
