EMC lab
The EMC lab has equipment for the most common legally mandatory EMC test and provides diagnostic work including near-field scanning
Description
The EMC lab has equipment for the most common legally mandatory EMC test including:
- Radiated emission and immunity
- Spurious emission test
- Conducted emission
- ESD, burst, surge and voltage tip
- Conducted emission and immunity
- Harmonics and voltage flicker
- EMC courses tailored for companies.
In addition, the EMC lab provides diagnostic work including near-field scanning.
Services for companies
For reasonable sized (less than approximately 1 m x 1 m x 1 m) electronic devices we provide:
- Pre-compliance radiated emission test (30 MHz – 26 GHz) according to CISPR 16-2-3 and most product standards
- Compliance conducted emission and immunity test according to CISPR 16-2 and most product standards
- Compliance radiated immunity test according to EN/IEC 61000-4-3 and most product standards
- ESD test according to EN61000-4-2
- Fast transient (burst) test according to EN61000-4-4
- Surge test according to EN61000-4-5
- Harmonics and flicker according to IEC EN 61000-3
The lab provides phase resolved near-field scan at component or printed circuit board level.
We recommend doing the test as early as possible in the project leaving time to make necessary product changes. The lab provides consultancy regarding EMC design – first time right.
Technical specification of equipment
- Reduced sized fully (6,60 m x 1,96 m x 2,28 m internal measures (LxWxH)) anechoic room (FAR) (0-26 GHz) with R&S ESU 26 receiver
- Hard shielded room for conducted emission test
- Generators for ESD (30 kV), burst (5 kV), surge (7 kV) and voltage dip
- 6-axed near-field scanner with 40 GHz VNA (phase-resolved), oscilloscope (phase resolved) or spectrum analyzer (fast amplitude measurements)
Please note that the lab is not certified.
The RF and antenna-lab shares resources with the EMC lab.
