What do my lecturers expect from me?
How do I get a good start in student life?
Which IT systems do I need as a student at SDU?
Which rules should I be aware of?
We offer courses in study techniques and academic writing, amongst other things Furthermore, SDU continuously offers courses such as academic writing, study techniques and study planning. This is to ensure that you and your fellow students have the same starting point for your master’s degree programme and are all off to a good start at SDU.
The master’s degree programme is a full-time study. It is designed so that a large part of the programme is conducted as self-study. This means that you as a student have a lot of freedom to plan your study time. I.e., time you need to prepare for the classes, work in your study group, do assignments, etc.
Different teaching methods
The teaching is a mixture of lectures, class teaching, group work and project work.
When you start your studies, we make sure that you join a study group so that you can discuss the reading material and the assignments with your fellow students, share experiences and give each other advice and inspiration. Group work can have great benefits to your daily work in the programme and to exams. Group work will help improve your academic skills, as it provides an informal space for you to apply and test the things you learn in class.
