SDU Esbjerg

A charming university town with quality education and beautiful nature

Anastasia Kanokogi Georgiou, 23, Cyprus, sports and event management

I chose to come to Denmark because I’d heard good things about SDU, the programme, and the teaching. I also wanted to experience Denmark and try living abroad.

Esbjerg is smaller than where I’m from, but it’s nice here. I arrived this semester, and people have been friendly and welcoming. There are lots of opportunities to enjoy nature, with forests and beaches—I’m very happy to be here and experience the relaxed lifestyle. SDU Esbjerg is close to the city, so there’s a great balance between studying and leisure time.

Plenty of support available

It is uncomplicated to settle in as an EU citizen, and it was easy for me to start my life here. The university puts a lot of effort into ensuring a positive student experience, and you naturally meet new people through various events, which I encourage future students to join.

I go to different parties, use the fitness center, and enjoy both the town and the natural surroundings.
