The research unit Clinical Immunology has an international research environment in which PhD students, research students and specialists, as well as the department's doctors and MSc scientists work closely together on research projects.
The research is organized in six teams working with cellular immunotherapy of cancer, autoimmune diseases, immune defects, chimeric conditions and viral diseases, as well as transfusion medicine.
The laboratory has advanced molecular biology methods focusing on cellular mechanisms of importance for cellular therapy. Most of our research is based on clinical issues. The unit is directly involved in the Danish Blood Donor Study.
The research unit is affiliated with the Clinical Immunology Department at Odense University Hospital.
