We are pleased to welcome you as a PhD student at the PhD School at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences (SAMF). We look forward to helping and guiding you over the next few years, as well as following your journey into the wonderful universe of research. As a PhD student at SAMF, you will be part of an excellent, active research environment, which will prepare you for a future international career.

On this and the following pages, we have gathered the most important information for the first few months of your PhD study, because we know there is a lot to take in. The entire PhD programme contains many facets and elements which are explained in more detail on this website. Once you have familiarised yourself with this introduction, you are ready to read the other pages, where you will find information about your environmental change, your supervisors’ obligations and the scope of the knowledge dissemination you must provide.

We have sent you an invitation to an introductory meeting, where the Head of PhD School will tell you more about what you can expect from the next few years, how you get off to a good start and how we can assist you at the PhD School. We hope you will join us for the meeting.
