    Director of the Centre for Quantum Mathematics at IMADA, Professor Jørgen Ellegaard Andersen has been designated Knight of the Order of Dannebrog by the Danish Queen. The Order of Dannebrog is a Royal Order of Chivalry given by the Danish Monarchy.

    New QM professor draws in two starting grants

    World class researcher from UC Berkeley, Vivek Shende joins the Centre for Quantum Mathematics, IMADA, with two major grants. Shende is awarded a prestigious DNRF Chair grant from the Danish National Research Foundation and a Start Package Grant from the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

    Three new postdocs

    In the beginning of 2021 three new postdocs join the Centre for Quantum Mathematics. The three postdocs will all be collaborating with QM Centre Director Jørgen Ellegaard Andersen. One of these collaborations will be interdisciplinary between QM and SDU Robotics, and one will be a part of the ERC Synergy project: ReNewQuantum

    QM is moving

    The Centre for Quantum Mathematics gets a new SDU affiliation. From 1 January 2021 QM will join the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (IMADA) at the Faculty of Science. All centre employees as well as all activities are included in the move.

    Two new professors

    International top researchers have joined the Centre for Quantum Mathematics. QM has been able to attract the renowned mathematicians, Prof. Christof Geiss from UNAM, Mexico and Prof. Vivek Shende from University of California, Berkeley.

    SDU picks world-famous leading professor to head SDU Centre for Quantum Mathematics

    On 1 November, Professor Jørgen Ellegaard Andersen joins SDU as Head of the newly established Centre for Quantum Mathematics. He is the research manager of the project ’Recursive and Exact New Quantum Theory’ that last year received a 10- million-euro grant from the European Research Council (ERC).
