Inspiration Day: Better Health for All
Join us for an inspiration day on new collaborations and practical ways to reduce health inequalities.
The University of Southern Denmark and Odense University Hospital invite you to an inspiration day on 29 August 2024. We will focus on new collaborations and practical approaches to minimising health inequalities.
Partnerships for Better Health
Health inequality is a complex issue that cannot be solved by individual actors alone. It requires new partnerships between the healthcare sector, researchers, civil society, policymakers, and private and public enterprises. This day will highlight the importance of cross-sector collaboration to develop solutions that can bring about real change.
- The Faculty of Health Sciences at SDU will play a crucial role in creating value for and with society. We do this by working interdisciplinarily and innovatively, always considering collaborations and partnerships, says Dean Ole Skøtt.
The inspiration day will feature brief, inspiring presentations and offer opportunities to build new relationships. We will conclude with dialogue on themes for concrete projects to be pursued within the following areas:
- Prevention and Citizen Involvement
- Patient Involvement and Shared Decision-Making
- Cross-Sector Collaboration and Civil Society Engagement
- Digital and Technological Solutions
The aim is to share knowledge about areas of interest to authorities, foundations, associations, NGOs, researchers, and practitioners in a Danish/Scandinavian context. We seek to create new relationships and collaborations that can result in concrete projects and applications through workshops in the autumn.
Supporting the Research Strategy and Collaborating for the Future
The day supports the new research strategy from the Faculty of Health Sciences and encourages interdisciplinary collaboration with external partners.
Following the inspiration day, workshops will be held with representatives from civil society, researchers, and relevant stakeholders, including the citizens at the heart of it all.
- We look forward to unfolding our research strategy – and doing so together with Rector Jens Ringsmose, researchers from other faculties, regional hospitals, and other good partners. This way, we can contribute value for and with society, says Dean Ole Skøtt.
