Janina Schendel

Janina Schendel received her MA degree in Functional and Applied Linguistics from Leibniz University Hanover in 2013. In her MA thesis she studied causative constructions with the verb lassen + infinitive (“let” + infinitive) in present-day German from a construction grammatical point of view. June to November 2013 she is working as a research assistant in the CxG-Int project. Her focus is on the description of German modal particles in the framework of construction grammar, taking the example of the German modal particle mal and its functions in directive speech acts as a starting point.
