The Faculty of Business and Social Sciences nominates Arthur Lewbel as honorary doctor. Arthur Lewbel is Professor of Economics at Boston College. He is known for his innovative methods and models in econometrics; in particular, his work on identification strategies and estimation techniques is widely recognised. These contributions have become important tools in applied economics. He has also made remarkable advances in understanding consumer behaviour by applying complex mathematical models to the analysis of consumer patterns, preferences and decision-making processes.
