Artificial Intelligence in the Danish Screening Program for Diabetic Retinopathy

In collaboration with national and international partners, we aim to develop deep learning based diagnostic tools to be implemented in the Danish screening program for diabetic retinopathy. 

A big part of our focus is to prevent ocular and systemic complications for patients with diabetes, with the use of deep learning to detect sight threatening eye complications and predict systemic complications such as heart disease, diabetic nephropathy and more from retinal images.
