Research Unit of Ophthalmology (Odense)

Simulation and surgery

’See one, do one, teach one’ is an outdated term. Simulation training has gained massive impact as an evidence-based learning tool to enhance skills in complicated medical procedures. Simulation training is important to ensure a proper training setting for doctors. However, most importantly, evident for better patient safety.

Simulation training and eye surgery focuses on educational and clinical research. The unit’s primary focus is to achieve better education for ophthalmologists and increase patient safety. Secondarily, the unit strives to conduct research in eye surgery to better surgical procedures and patient outcomes.
