Our bone research teams, Molecular Bone Histology (MBH-SDU) lab and Clinical Cell Biology (CCB), make joint efforts to improve our knowledge of human bone health. We do this by basing our research on human bone biopsies as well as primary cells from human healthy subjects and patients, but also by leading and participating in clinical trials. Our research is characterized by a strong focus on clinical based problems, which we then address experimentally – hence “from bedside to benchside” or “human translational” based research.

Our teams have a close and dynamic collaboration – not only regarding science, but also on a daily basis since both teams share lab space, facilities, instruments, and offices. This creates a vibrant and diverse research environment at the benefit of all team members (also students), and it has a synergistic impact on our research.
