The Interfaces Network brings together researchers committed to the collaborative study of medieval literature within European, Mediterranean and Eurasian frameworks. The network builds sustained intellectual relationships and conversations which cross national, linguistic and disciplinary boundaries, working together in seminars, workshops, conferences and co-publications. Smaller groups on specific topics, such as the Poetic Anthologising project, create nodes which are brought together in larger wide-ranging events, such as the ‘Theorizing Medieval European Literatures’ conference, making opportunities for colleagues to meet each other repeatedly. The network is supported by CML, in turn enriching our research environment. Over the coming years, the network will transform into ‘Interfaces: The Society for the Study of Medieval European Literatures’, which will establish a biannual conference and act as a forum for those working on medieval literature on a European scale.
