Three CML’ers contribute to new Danish anthology on history in the humanities
Rasmus Vangshardt, Lars Boje Mortensen and Thomas Heebøll-Holm contributed to the new, Danish anthology "The Historical Gaze"
CML PhD fellow Rasmus Vangshardt has co-edited a new Danish collected edition of articles on the role of the historical within the humanities. The anthology is called “The historical gaze” [Det historiske blik] and is published by Aarhus University Press. 29 scholars from Danish academia discuss the role of the historical in their research. Through their contributions, the book revisits the question of facts versus fiction and the continuous relevance of the historical element in the humanities. Besides Vangshardt’s own contribution on narratives of cohesion and rupture in literary history, Lars Boje Mortensen and Thomas Heebøll-Holm both contribute with each their perspective on the role of the Middle Ages in past and future academia.
